Feature Article

These past few weeks we have been working on a feature article for health and RLA. We had a few topics we could choose from for our article and I choose sleep as my topic. After we chose our topic we had to create a slant about what we wanted our readers to learn. We had a few days to do research and after a while, I had found a lot of research for sleep. When researching I revised my slant because I had so much information I wanted to focus more of what happens when you sleep and problems of sleep and some solutions. We starting drafting our information into paragraphs into different headings for each small the article.

Then, we transferred our information over into a feature article. When we started to move our writing to a

feature article we read other articles and we also learned about the things needed in an article. We learned about nut graphs and formating of feature articles. We learned that it  helps to have a color scheme with your article and that it also helps if your pictures are along that color scheme as well. Or that choose your pictures and choose a color scheme of the pictures. You also need to make sure that your pictures go along with what your writing and not off topic. Also, you need to inclued a lead and a conclusion and have nice readable fonts.

  1. Dear Sadie,

I was really surprised when you said that if the toxins in your brain can lead to Alzheimer's disease and Parkinsons. A strategy I would use is to go to sleep at the same time so that I have a healthy sleep schedule.
